PENN RELAYS, Philadelphia, Pa. - April 27, 2000

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Providence College junior Rachel Hixson (Media, Pa.) and sophomore Claire Shearman (Portsmouth, N.H.) were the Friars' top finishers at the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. on Thursday, April 27.

Hixson finished seventh in the 3,000 meter college championship division (9:28.94) and Shearman was fifth in the 5,000 meters college championship division (16:23.31). Both runners qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championship.
