SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Providence College women's indoor track team competed at the BIG EAST Championships on February 19-20 in Syracuse, N.Y. Providence, which had only three competitors, finished in 12th-place with eight points.

Junior Fiona Crombie (Christchurch, New Zealand) finished fourth in the mile in a time of 4:57.72 to qualify for the ECAC's on March 5-6. Freshman Michelle Childs (Caemron, Ontario) placed seventh in the mile in a time of 5:03.42.

In the 1,000 meters, senior Roisin Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) finished eighth in a time of 2:56.10.

The Friars will compete on February 25-26 at the New England Championships.
