PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's and women's track teams traveled to Boston, Mass. to compete at the Valentine Invitational on the campus of Boston University this past weekend. Sophomore Dominic Channon (Nelson, New Zealand) placed fifth in the mile with a NCAA Provisional Qualifying time of 4:02.32.

Sophomore Lee Carey (Bedworth, England) finished 13th in the 3000m with a time of 8:13.11 and Graduate student Richard Yeates (Dublin, Ireland) finished 21st in the 3000m with a time of 8:19.17.

On the women's side, senior Breffini Twohig (Dublin, Ireland) finished eighth overall in the 3000m with a time of 9:47.84 and senior Krystal Douglas (Harpswell, Maine) was 10th in a time of 9:49.85. Graduate student Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.Y.) finished 17th overall in the mile with a time of 4:58.95 and senior Caitlin Lawrence (Franklin, Mass.) finished seventh in the high jump with a jump of 1.58m.

The two teams will compete next weekend at the BIG EAST Championships in New York, N.Y.
