BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College women's indoor track team competed at the Boston University Quad Meet on Tuesday, February 8 in Boston, Mass.

Providence was led by junior Fiona Crombie (Christchurch, New Zealand) who finished third in the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:56.72 to qualify for the BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held on February 19-20 in Syracuse, N.Y. Freshman Michelle Childs (Cameron, Ontario), who had already qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the mile earlier this season, ran her best time in the event this season, recording a time of 5:01.60 to finish third.

Senior Roisin Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) took second-place in the 1,000 meters as she ran the race in a time of 2:54.54. Quinn has already qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the 800 meters and 1,000 meters.

The Friars will compete on February 11-12 at the St. Valentine's Meet.
