Terrier Classic at BU, Boston, Mass. - Jan. 30, 2000

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College women's track team competed at the Terrier Classic at Boston University in Boston, Mass. on Sunday, January 30.

The Friars were led by sophomore Heather Cappello (Lockport, N.Y.), who finished 17th in the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:34.94 and qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track Championship. Freshman Roisin McGettigan (Wicklow, Ireland) and sophomore Kathryn Casserly (Galway, Ireland) both finished strong in the mile. McGettigan placed eighth (4:58.53) and Casserly finished ninth (4:58.84).

In the 1,000 meters, sophomore Carolyn Turco (Danvers, Mass.) was fifth in a time of 3:00.82.
