Women's Track Runs At Yale Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Providence College women's track team competed at the Yale Invitational at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. on Saturday, January 13. The Friars were led by senior Francine Darroch (Cambridge, Ontario) who finished second in the 3,000 meters in a time of 10:02.81. Sophomore Emily Tallen (Kingston, Ontario) also ran strong in the 3,000, finishing fifth in a time of 10:27.99. Freshman Lisa Cappello (Lockport, N.Y.) finished fourth in the mile (5:03.09) while her sister, Heather, placed sixth in a time of 5:06.29. The Friars will return to action on Saturday, January 20 at the New England Challenge at Boston University.
