The Providence College women's tennis squad travels to West Point, N.Y. this weekend for the ITA Eastern Championships, being held at the United States Military Academy. Thirty schools will compete at the tournament, including fellow New England foes University of Connecticut, Brown University, and Sacred Heart University. Brackets for the tournament will be announced Friday, September 14, and matches will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Head Coach Wayne Turner announced the tournament's lineup today. Senior Kate Lyons (Barrington, R.I.) will compete in the number one singles, sophomore Jen Cusack (Bayport, N.Y.) will compete in number two singles, sophomore Dara Hawkins-Hodgson (South Euclid, Ohio) will compete in number three singles, and freshman Avery Gibson will compete in number four singles. In the doubles bracket, freshman Ayushi Sinha and junior Amy McDevitt (East Greenwich, R.I.) will compete in the number one spot, while freshmen Elizabeth Gillis and Kim Betzner (Walpole, Mass.) will compete in number two singles.
