Women's Tennis Finishes Second at New England Championship
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College women's tennis team finished second of eight schools at the New England Tennis Championships in Burlington, Vt. on October 12. PC recorded 68 points and finished four points behind first-place finisher Central Connecticut.
The Friars were led by freshman Alison Carton of Milburn, N.J. (No. 1 singles), sophomore Jesse LeMasters of Cincinnati, Ohio (No. 2 singles) and sophomore Kim Bergin of Winchester, Mass. (No. 5 singles) who captured individual titles in their respective flights. All three players recorded a 3-0 singles mark at the Championship.
