PC Women's Tennis Defeats Vermont, 5-2

The Providence College women's tennis team defeated the University of Vermont, 5-2, on Saturday, October 13.

Senior Brooke Rubin (Cranston, R.I.), senior Erin Haley (Johnston, R.I.) and freshman Katy Bednar (Marblehead, Mass.) posted straight set wins at No. 1, 2 and 3 doubles respectively. Freshman Nicole Rodger (Lowell, Mass.) also won her singles match.

Rubin and Bednar combined to win at No. 1 doubles, while Haley and Katie Lafayette (Norwich, Conn.) recorded a 9-8 victory at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore Eleana Stayer (Portland, Ore.) and freshman Lindsey Christensen (Northboro, Mass.) posted an 8-5 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Final Result: Providence 5, Vermont 2 Records: Providence (4-2), Vermont
