Providence Women's Tennis Wins Second Straight

The Providence College women's tennis team swept all seven positions to earn a 7-0 victory over the University of Hartford on Thursday, September 27.

Brooke Rubin (Cranston, R.I.), Erin Haley (Johnston, R.I.), Katie Bednar (Marblehead, Mass.), Katie Lafayette (Norwich, Conn.) and Molly Gilbride (Topsham, Maine) all won their singles matches in straight sets to lead the Friars.

The doubles team of Rubin/Bednar and Haley/Lafayette posted 8-5 and 9-8 victories, respectively.

The Friars return to action on Sunday, September 30 as they travel to New Hampshire.
