PROVIDENCE, R.I... The Providence College women's tennis team competed at the 19th Annual SUnity Life Tennis Classic on Sept. 9-10, at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y.

The Friars were led by junior Brooke Rubin (Cranston, R.I.) who placed second in the No. 1 singles event with a record of 2-1. Rubin also teamed with senior Alison Carton (Millburn, N.J.) to earn a third place finish in the No. 1 doubles with a record of 2-1.

The Friars will return to action on Sept. 13, as they travel to the University of Hartford for a 3:00 p.m. match.
