Women's Tennis Falls To Pittsburgh, 6-1

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

    The Providence College women’s tennis team fell to Pittsburgh, 6-1, on Friday, April 13 in Providence, R.I.

    Maria Clara Bernardez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) earned the Friars’ lone victory in singles play, as she defeated Jocelyn Lu, 6-3, 4-6, 10-5, in the No. 1 position. Bernardez also teamed with Karen Ramirez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) at No. 2 doubles to defeat Gabrielle Catanzariti and Kimmy Borza, 8-7 (5).

    Providence will return to action for its season finale on Sunday, April 15 against Albany.
