Women’s Tennis Topped By Villanova, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The Providence College women’s tennis team held their senior day today, April 9, in a match against Villanova. Seniors Amanda Pitocco and Jennifer DeLuca were recognized before the start of matchplay. The Friars were bested by the wildcats, 6-1.

Sophomore Risa Takenaka (Saint Charles, Mo.) tallied a win in no. 2 singles against Victoria Martinez of Villanova, 6-1, 6-7, 10-4.

Providence College returns to action on Tuesday, April 25 at home against Quinnipiac University. The match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET.
