Women's Tennis Drops 6-1 Decision To Connecticut

    STORRS, CONN. -

    The Providence College women’s tennis team fell to Connecticut, 6-1, in BIG EAST action on March 21 in Storrs, Conn. Marisela Aviles-Duron (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) earned the Friars’ lone victory in singles play, having defeated Alexa Gregory, 6-2, 6-4, at the No. 1 position.

    Aviles-Duron also teamed with Maria Clara Bernardez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) at No. 1 doubles for a 7-6 (3) victory over Jen Learmonth and Maxene Weinberg.
