Georgetown Defeats Women's Tennis, 6-1

The Providence College women's tennis team was defeated, 6-1, by the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday, March 16 in Providence, R.I.

The Hoyas won all the doubles matches and captured five of the six singles victories en route to their fifth win of the season. Senior Brooke Rubin (Cranston, R.I.) recorded PC's lone victory as she defeated Liora Gelblum, 7-6, 7-5, at No. 1 singles. Rubin is undefeated (8-0) in singles competition in the spring.

The Friars dropped to 7-7 overall and 3-5 in the spring, while the Hoyas improved to 5-8.

Final Result: Georgetown 6, Providence 1
