Tennis Falls 4-0 At Brown

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team fell 4-0 at Brown on Saturday, March 1.

    Providence's senior Maria Clara Bernardez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) fell (6-2, 6-1) in the No. 1 singles position to Hannah Camhi. At the No. 2 singles position, sophomore Alana Prinos (Foxborough, Mass.) was defeated by Nimita Uberoi (6-2, 6-2).

    Freshman Jennifer DeLuca (Riverside, Conn.) and junior Karen Ramirez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) competed at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively. DeLuca fell to Sarah Kandath (6-4, 6-2), while Ramirez dropped sets to Mariska Chamdani (6-2, 6-1).

    In doubles, sophomores Hannah Zangari (Saunderstown, R.I.) and Olivia Hogan (Gaithersburg, Md.) were defeated by Ashley Noyes and Ammu Mandalap (8-0).
