Women's Tennis Falls at Dartmouth, 6-1

The Providence College women's tennis team was defeated, 6-1, at Dartmouth on Sunday, February 17.

The Friars Brooke Rubin (Cranston, R.I.) recorded the lone win for PC as she defeated Sarita Yardi, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. In doubles, senior captain Gina Vlasek (Atlanta, Ga.) and Katie Lafayette (Norwich, Conn.) played at the No. 2 spot and lost, 9-8, (7-3 tiebreaker) in a close match.

With the loss, PC fell to 5-3 overall, and 1-1 in the spring. The Big Green improved to 7-1 overall. PC is back in action on Friday, March 1 with a home match against Rutgers.
