    BIG EAST Announces 2011-12 BIG EAST All-Academic Team

    166 Friars named to 2011-12 BIG EAST All-Academic Team

    2012-13: Made it to the semifinal at the Quinnipiac Invitational in the Flight D singles... Collected a total 2-1 singles record for the 2012-13 season.

    2011-12: Did not play.

    Before Providence: A Massachusetts native, Ripple was captain of the Hingham High School varsity tennis team during both her junior and senior seasons. As a sophomore she was named Team MVP after compiling a league-leading 23-0 record. Ripple helped her team reach the Massachusetts State Championship match and was the recipient of the Patriot League Outstanding Sportsmanship Award. In addition to tennis, Katherine also was a point guard on her high school basketball team and a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in elementary/special education at Providence College. Ripple is the daughter of John and Joan Ripple and has an older brother who is enrolled at Villanova.
