Former Providence College women's tennis player Becky Ricci enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Friar tennis team. Ricci is a 1990 graduate of PC and played under the direction of head coach Kyle LaBranche's father, Carl LaBranche, during her career. Ricci was a member of the New England Championship Friar tennis team in 1989. She compiled a 12-6 singles mark that year. For the past 20 years, Ricci has been a tennis pro at Fore Court Racquet and Fitness Club in Cumberland, R.I., as well as at Rally Point Racquet Club in Greenville, R.I. She has achieved a USTA ranking of 5.0 and continues to compete in tournaments throughout New England. Ricci currently resides in Wrentham, Mass. with her husband, John, and their daughter, Becca, and two sons, Jack and Andrew.
