PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College freshman diver Jamie Modon-Cohen (Yorktown, N.Y.) qualified for the ECAC Swimming and Diving Championships in the one meter diving event. Modon-Cohen qualified on Saturday, February 2 in the Friars' 111-100 win over the University of Vermont.

Modon-Cohen compiled a score of 329.5 in 10 dives, surpassing the qualifying standard of 325 points in the one meter diving event. Modon-Cohen won the event on Saturday with a high-scoring dive of 173.40.

The 2002 ECAC Swimming and Diving Championships will take place February 29 through March 2 at the University of Pittsburgh and University of Delaware. Swimming events will take place at Pittsburgh while the diving events will take place at Delaware.
