PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The women's swimming and diving team had two individuals compete at the 2002 ECAC Swimming and Diving Championships. Senior Lee Barnum (Hyde Park, N.Y.) and freshman Jamie Modon-Cohen (Yorktown, N.Y.) represented the Friars at the championship.

On Friday, March 1, Barnum finished 18th in the 100 meter butterfly, where she broke the one-minute mark for the first time in eight years, finishing in 59.48. Also on Friday, diver Modon-Cohen finished 20th in the one meter diving event, scoring 158.65 points.

The two Friars were back competing again on Saturday, March 2, where Barnum finished 18th in the 200 meter butterfly, completing the race in 2:10.89. Modon-Cohen competed in the three meter diving event, finishing in 17th place with a total score of 296.25.

With the ECAC Championships finished, the Providence women's swimming and diving season comes to a close.
