2009 Providence Softball Schedule

The Providence College softball team released its 2009 schedule on Monday, October 20.

The Friars will open the season at the Louisiana-Lafayette Tournament on from February 13-15. PC then will play at the Florida International Tournament from February 20-22. Following the trip to Florida, Providence will travel out west and play at the Fresno State Tournament on March 6-8. The Friars will stay out west and play a double header at Cal Poly on March 10 before moving on to play at the UC Riverside Tournament on March 13-14.

PC's home opener is scheduled for March 22 with a double header against Yale and it will be part of a 10-game (five double headers) home stand. In addition to the grueling non-conference schedule, the Friars also will play 24 BIG EAST Conference games. The BIG EAST opener is on March 28 at Raymond Field against Rutgers. PC also will play a double header at home against DePaul on March 29.
