Providence College's Jen Abrams (Reading, Mass.) has been selected as one of 11 members on the 2012 Softball All-America Team by the Jewish Sports Review.
Abrams, who graduated in May with a degree in marketing, finished off her senior year with a .274 average. She also hit two home runs and had 12 runs batted in while leading the team with 48 hits. In her four years with the Friars, Abrams accumulated 12 home runs and 63 RBIs.
Abrams will return to Providence in 2012-13 as a graduate student and will play for Friar field hockey team.
Abrams was a standout student-athlete at Reading Memorial H.S. where she was a two-time Boston Herald All-Scholastic honoree for softball and a member of the National Honors Society. She posted an impressive .521 career batting average at Reading.
