PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College softball sophomore firstbaseman/pitcher Cori Van Dusen (Riverside, Calif.) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in a vote of the league's 11 head coaches. The honor was a first for Van Dusen.

Van Dusen earned the honor as leading the Friars in nine offensive categories. She batted .325 while starting all 53 games for PC. She totalled 17 runs, 53 hits, nine doubles, one triple, three home runs, 21 RBI, 73 total bases, a .448 slugging percentage, 15 walks, and an on-base percentage of .382.

On the mound, Van Dusen was 3-15 with a 3.39 ERA. She appeared in 28 games, starting 18 and completing 11. She pitched 132.1 innings, with 104 strike outs.

Van Dusen led the Friars to a 16-36-1 overall record and a 5-15 mark in BIG EAST play.
