The Providence College softball team (9-17-1, 0-3 BIG EAST) will travel to Harvard (9-14, 2-2 Ivy League) to play one non-conference game on Tuesday, April 2 at 3:00p.m. The Friars are coming off a 0-1-1 week after losing and tying Boston University last week.
Seniors Jessie Bryant (Marlborough, Mass.) and Stephanie Kiesel (Ramona, Calif.) led the Friars offensively against the Terriers. Bryant went 2-4 in both games with one run and one RBI. Kiesel went 2-5, including a grand slam in game two against the Terriers in the second inning. She also had two runs, one double and four RBI. Kiesel leads the Friars this season with a .354 batting average, and holds the second highest slugging percentage (.573).
Harvard posted a 2-2 record last week. The Crimson dropped a pair of games at Penn on Friday, March 29 and swept Columbia in two games the following day. Last season, the Friars defeated Harvard, 3-2, in Providence, R.I. on April 3, 2012.
