    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College softball team will compete against Penn (1-4) and USF (18-7) on Wednesday, March 12 in Tampa, Fla. The Friars will play Penn at 2:00 p.m. and USF at 5:00 p.m.
    

    Freshman McKall Miller (Ashburn, Va.) leads the team with five hits and three home runs. The newcomer has a team-best five RBI. Miller and sophomore Kiki Baldassari (Denville, N.J.) are tied with a team-high three runs scored. Freshman Taylor Huntly (Las Vegas, Nev.) has made four appearances on the mound in 20 innings. Huntly has recorded 11 strikeouts on the year. Sophomore Kiara Amos (Malden, Mass.) has also made pitching appearances with 11 innings pitched and nine strikeouts.

    After Wednesday the Friars remain in Florida for the second USF Under Armour Invitational, running Friday, March 14 through Sunday, March 16. Providence will play games versus Iona, Buffalo, Maine, Florida A&M and Central Connecticut.
