Softball Ends LMU Tournament Against Harvard and SUU

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – The Providence College women’s softball team played two games on Saturday, March 10 to close out the LMU Tournament and its spring break trip. The Friars dropped their game against Harvard, 6-5 and their game against Southern Utah was cancelled due to rain. Providence’s record now stands at 3-15.

HARVARD GAME NOTES:
- Providence dropped a close game, 6-5.
- Emma Lee (Orange, Calif.) exploded for three hits, one of which was a double.
- Julianne Rurka (Warrenville, Ill.) added two hits as well.
- Four different Friars tallied RBIs in the game.
- Christina Ramirez (Niceville, Fla.) pitched seven innings, allowing four runs and six hits. Megan McCune (Orange, Calif.) pitched 1.1 innings of relief, allowing two runs. Only one of the runs was earned. McCune was the pitcher of record and dropped to 1-3 on the season.

ON DECK:
The Friars open up their home schedule with a double header against Hartford on Saturday, March 17.
