FRESNO, Calif. - Providence College softball senior Mary Rose Sheehy (Woodbridge, Conn.) was named to the Bayer CropScience Classic All-Tournament Team on Monday, March 9.

In five games, Sheehy batted 6-for-17 (.353) with three extra-base hits and seven RBIs. In the win over No. 21 Fresno State on March 7, Sheehy led Providence with four hits and five RBIs. She also hit one home run to help the Friars record their first win over a ranked team since February 17, 2008 when they posted a 4-0 victory over No. 18 Georgia.

The Friars (3-10) are back in action on Tuesday, March 10 when they play a doubleheader at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
