 OMAHA, Neb. -The Providence College softball team was defeated at Creighton, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon in the Friars' last game of the season.

The game remained scoreless through three innings until Creighton (29-23, 10-10) scored one run in the bottom of the fourth off of one hit. The Bluejays again scored in the bottom of the fifth, this time two runs on three hits to bring their lead to 3-0. Next, Creighton scored two runs in the sixth (5-0) with one hit.

Sophomore Kiki Baldassari (Denville, N.J.) and junior Shanelle Harrell (Irvine, Calif.) singled for PC (6-29, 4-15) while freshman McKall Miller (Ashburn, Va.) registered a double in the game.

Becca Changstrom pitched in the win for CU with nine strikeouts in seven innings pitched. Freshman Taylor Huntly (Las Vegas, Nev.) took the loss for PC while striking out four batters in six innings.
