CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Providence College softball team was defeated by Harvard, 4-0, Tuesday afternoon at Soldiers Field in Cambridge, Mass. With the loss, the Friars fell to 20-18, while the Crimson improved to 25-12.

Harvard score the only run it would need in the first inning when Hayley Bock hit a single to drive in Julia Kidder. The Crimson added three more runs in the third inning, highlighted by Jennifer Francis' two-run single. Harvard pitcher Shelly Madick improved to 12-3 as she went four innings and allowed four hits, while striking two batters.

The Friars finished with five hits as freshman Katelyn Revens (Warwick, R.I.) and senior Katie Ross (Middleboro, Mass.) each had two. Revens has had a least one hit in five consecutive games.
