    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Providence College softball team fell to the Louisville Cardinals, 4-0, on Thursday, April 21. The Cardinals improve to 33-14 overall and 11-4 in the BIG EAST. The Friars fall to 20-26 overall with a 4-11 mark in the league.

    The game remained scoreless until the fourth inning when Louisville took a 2-0 lead. Hannah Kiyohara and Katie Keller each notched an RBI. In the sixth inning, the Cardinals extended their lead to 4-0 when Chelsea Bemis registered an RBI and Keller knocked in her second run of the game.

    Sophomore Corinne Clauss (Davie, Fla.) was in the pitcher's circle for the Friars and pitched six innings. Clauss gave up four earned runs and struck out three on the night.

    Junior Jen Abrams (Reading, Mass.) went two-for -three on the day and freshman Mackenzie Morgan (Sulphur Springs, Texas) recorded a hit.

    The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 23. Game one is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
