Former Seton Hall standout Laura Taylor (Hockessin, Del.) joined the Friar softball program assistant coach in February of 2006. The 2005 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Taylor finished her playing career as the top power hitter in school history, as well as one of the top sluggers in NCAA history.

Seton Hall's all-time leader in home runs, Taylor totaled 59 round trippers over her four year career, also one of the top-10 figures in NCAA history. In addition, she totaled 180 hits and a school-record 160 RBI. A three-time All-BIG EAST selection, she also was a three-time All-Northeast Region choice.

A Finance major at Seton Hall, Taylor graduated as a Dean's List member in May of 2005. This past summer, Taylor signed a professional contract with the NY/NJ Juggernauts of the National Pro Fastpitch League.
