    AT PROVIDENCE: As a junior, was named to the All-Northeast Region Second Team... Led the team offensively with two stolen bases, 37 runs scored, an overall batting average of .407, an on base percentage of .426, 113 total bases on 74 hits, and a .621 slugging percentage... With these numbers, Petersen claimed the top spot on Providence's all-time single-season total hits list and posted the highest-ever single-season batting average... Also recorded the second best all-time single-season runs scored total... As a sophomore, started all 44 games, batting .241 with 14 RBIs and nine runs scored... Led the team in sacrifice hits (8) and was the toughest Friar to strike out, (once every 11.4 plate appearences)... As a freshman, started in all but one game and batted a team-high 175 times... Was second on the team in hits (43) and total bases (56)... Had a batting average of .246 and a team-high 10 doubles.

    ALISO NIGUEL HS: Earned four letters in softball at Aliso Niguel for coach Joe Miller... Named all-league in 1999 and earned All-Star honors in 2001... Received Orange County Player of the Week honors in 2000... Batted .328 in 2000 and .342 in 2001... Led her team to the Pacific Coast League Championship in 1998... Her team captured the Seaview League Title in 1999 and 2000.
