AT PROVIDENCE: Posted a 2.17 earned run average and a 9-2 record as a freshman...pitched 80.2 innings and posted 50 strikeouts...Pitched seven complete games and 2 shutouts...finished with a 1.000 fielding percentage. BEFORE PROVIDENCE: Played under head coach Jim Daugherty at El Toro High School where she earned three varsity letters... Helped lead her team to a pair of South Coast League titles in 2001 and 2003... Named the 2004 South Coast League Most Valuable Player and a three-time recipient ('02, '03, and '04) of the Defensive Player Award... Earned South Coast League First-Team honors both her junior and senior years... Her senior year she posted a 17-3-1 record including 133 strikeouts and just six earned runs for an ERA of 0.296 over 142 innings... A three-time ('02, '03, and '04) scholar-athlete award winner who was also a 2003 Scholastic All-CIF selection... A four-year honor roll student who also earned high honors, she also received recognition from the California Scholarship Federation and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes...
