Amy Kvilhaug returns to her alma mater for her second season with the Friar softball coaching staff after a one-year stint as the assistant coach at Seton Hall University. A 1996 graduate of Providence, Kvilhaug was a four-year letterwinner in softball, who was named First Team All-BIG EAST, Second Team All-New England, ECAC Tournament MVP and BIG EAST Rookie of the Year in 1993. A team captain, she helped lead the Friars to the 1994 BIG EAST Championship and the 1995 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. Kvilhaug graduated with PC school records for appearances (30), games started (29), innings pitched (215.2) and wins (24). Prior to her time at Seton Hall, Kvilhaug coached at Rutgers University in 1998 and the Division II nationally-ranked softball team at Florida Southern College in 1997. Kvilhaug currently resides in her hometown of Taunton, Massachusetts. |
