Before BC, Karwoski had a four year stint as head coach at Morehead State. She started as the assistant coach in 2002, and was promoted to associate head coach in 2004. As head coach, Karwoski led the program to its best overall record since 1999. Her teams compiled a school record 278 strikeouts, the highest fielding percentage in school history (.961) and tied the record for most wins.
