College Women’s Soccer Kristin Hayman Earns CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams were announced today (Dec. 7). All-America recipients were honored as the top performing student-athletes for their athletic performance on the field and impressive acumen in the classroom.

Kristin Hayman (Redmond, Wash.), previously named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team on Nov. 9, was named to the 2017 CoSIDA Women’s Soccer Division I Third Team All-America. 30 of the 33 members of the 2017 CoSIDA All-America Division I women’s soccer teams earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.90. 14 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Hayman, a biology major, has been a member of the women’s soccer program for two seasons. In addition to her excellence in the classroom, the midfielder appeared in 34 games and recorded three points on one goal and one assist.
