Women's Soccer Travels To Villanova

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team is scheduled to face conference foe Villanova in an afternoon match-up at the West Campus Soccer Complex on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Villanova, Pa. Providence enters Sunday with an overall record of 5-9-3 (2-6-0 BIG EAST) while the Wildcats hold a record of 6-8-3 (3-4-1 BIG EAST).

    Sophomore Catherine Zimmerman (Madison, N.J.) tops the Friars' scoring column with 14 points on a team-best six goals and two asssits. Classmate Kathryn Hiller (Dartmouth, Mass.) and senior Amanda Webster (Saugus, Mass.) have also tallied double digits in the scoring column with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Webster has tallied a team-high six assists.

    SCOUTING VILLANOVA: The Wildcats enter Saturday's match-up with an overall record of 6-8-3 (3-5-1 BIG EAST). Villanova most recently fell to #15 Georgetown, 3-1, on Sunday, Oct. 27 in Villanova, Pa. Villanova has recorded coference wins over Butler (2-0), Xavier (2-1) and Creighton (2-0). Martin leads the team with 22 points via six goals and 10 assists off of 31 shots. Sophomore Reanna Marino (Massapequa, N.Y.) follows closely behind with 10 points off of four goals and two assists while freshman Caroline Brown (Raleigh, N.C.) and junior Caitlin Forte (Selbyville, Del.) have posted eight and seven points each.
