Schott Has Three Shutouts In 2009

Providence, R.I.- Providence College women's soccer junior goalkeeper Jill Schott (Windham, N.H.) earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday, October 12. Schott earns the honor following a week that saw Providence go 1-0-1. She tallied a pair of shutouts in 200 minutes of play to lead the Friars.

On Friday, October 9, the Friars traveled to Tampa, Fla. to take on the University of South Florida Bulls. Providence defeated USF, 1-0, and Schott tallied five saves to earn her second-straight shutout. The Friars then traveled to Milwaukee, Wis. to take on the Marquette Golden Eagles and came away with a 0-0 tie in double overtime. In the game, Schott had 10 saves giving her total of 15 in two games.

Schott has appeared in 8 games for the Friars and has played a total of 690 minutes. She has a 0.91 goals against average, 40 saves, a 0.851 save percentage and a 2-3-2 record with three shutouts. Her first shutout came against Villanova on Sunday, October 4, when the Friars defeated the Wildcats 1-0.
