PROVIDENCE, R.I. (September 13, 2004) -- Senior BriAnne Bruni (Bristol, Conn.) was named BIG EAST Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, September 13.

Bruni lead the Friars to a 2-0 week as she tallied four goals in two games. On Friday, September 10, Bruni set a career-high and tied a single-game school record netting three goals in the 4-3 victory over Quinnipiac. She also recorded a goal in the 2-1 win over Holy Cross on Sunday, September 12, posting eight points on the weekend.

Bruni's goals gives her five on the season and 30th point for her career, putting her in a three-way tie in 13th place on PC's all-time scoring leaders list. She currently leads the team in scoring with five goals.
