Tracy DiMillio Kerr Named Women's Soccer Coach
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College Assistant Vice President for Athletics John Marinatto today announced the appointment of Tracy DiMillio Kerr as head women's soccer coach.
DiMillio Kerr, a native of Leesburg, Va., graduated from the University of Virginia in 1992. At Virginia, DiMillio Kerr was a three-time Regional All-America selection. She comes to Providence after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Harvard University. DiMillio Kerr began her coaching career in 1992 as an assistant coach at Charlottesville (Va.) High School. She moved to the collegiate ranks in 1993 where she spent two seasons as an assistant coach at American University. DiMillio Kerr has served as the head coach for a number of club teams, including, most recently, the Greater Boston Bolts Under-17 squad. "I am pleased to welcome Tracy to the Providence College family," Marinatto said. "She has been successful as a player and a coach. I believe her energy, enthusiasm and experience will enable her to be an excellent leader for our student-athletes." DiMillio Kerr replaced Joe Crehan who served as an interim coach last season. DiMillio Kerr resides in Needham, Mass., with her husband, John, who serves as a player/coach for the Boston Bulldogs Soccer Club.
