PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team received the NCAA Public Recognition Award on May 1. The award is presented to teams that have an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sport. It marks the third consecutive season that Providence women's soccer has garnered the accolade under the tutelage of Head Coach Jim McGirr, who will entering his fourth season at PC.
