Four Providence College women's soccer players were singled out for their strong performances during the 2002 campaign on Monday, January 13, 2003.

Three seniors, Katie Auger (Putnam, Conn.), Kristin Gardner (Trumbull, Conn.) and Kyle McAuley (Trumbull, Conn.) were named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl, which will be played at Boston University. The date of the game is yet to be determined but will take place either in April or May. Their inclusion in the Senior Bowl will be the culmination of their collegiate soccer careers. McAuley, a strong midfielder for the Friars finished her career with 10 goals and five assists for a total of 25 points which ties her for 17th all-time in scoring at the school. Auger and Gardner will both be missed on the field, where they both were defensive stalwarts for the Friars over their careers.

Sophomore midfielder Maura Robertson (Wellesley, Mass.) was named to the All-New England team for her performance on the soccer field during the 2002 season. Robertson led the Friars in all offensive categories with five goals and eight assists for a total of 18 points. In Robertson's two seasons at Providence she has scored 10 goals and 14 assists for 34 points, which places her tied for 10th on the school's all-time scoring list.
