Maura Robertson (Wellesley, Mass.), a freshman midfielder on the Providence College women's soccer team was named to the SoccerBuzz.Com All-Freshman Northeast Team on Monday, January 7, 2002.

Robertson led the Friars in scoring with five goals and six assists for 16 points. Three of Robertson's goals were game-winning tallies. Robertson also scored a goal in a 3-1 victory over Virginia Tech on October 14. The win over the Hokies was PC's first BIG EAST Northeast Division victory since 1999. In addition, Robertson also was named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team on November 8, 2001.

The Friars finished the 2001 season with a 7-9-2 overall record, including a 1-4-1 finish in the BIG EAST Northeast Division.
