    Syracuse Women's Soccer Earns 5-0 Win Over Lady Friars

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Freshman Erin OGrady scored three goals to lead the Syracuse University Orangewomen to a 5-0 victory against Providence. Freshmen Erin Parsons and Cindy Wolf each added two assists in the win. The Orangewomen improve their record to 7-2 (3-2 BIG EAST) while the Lady Friars drop to 2-4-1 (0-3 BIG EAST).

    Freshman Trisha Burch scored the first goal of the match at 15:05 on an assist from Parsons. Just two minutes later Parsons notched her second assist of the game on a goal by sophomore Tyla Brennan to put SU ahead 2-0. OGrady scored her first goal of the game at 21:43 and put SU ahead 3-0.

    The match remained scoreless for much of the second half until, with 10 minutes remaining, the combination of OGrady and Wolf produced two Syracuse goals just 45 second apart, making the final score 5-0. OGrady scored both goals and Wolf was credited with the assists. OGrady leads the Orangewomen with seven goals this season.

    The Orangewomen are back in action at 1 pm Sunday, Sept. 28 when they face the Boston College Eagles at the Soccer Stadium at the Lampe Athletics Complex.
