Providence Falls to Notre Dame, 7-0
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame defeated Providence College, 7-0, in BIG EAST women's soccer action Sunday, November 2 at South Bend, Ind.
Notre Dame's Anne Makinen scored the game's first goal at the 2:39 mark. Kate Sobrero netted Notre Dame's second goal of the game at the 9:23 mark. Jenny Streiffer scored the third goal of the game for Notre Dame at 22:11 to go-ahead 3-0. Julie Maund registered a goal for Notre Dame at the 23:26 mark. Streiffer recorded another goal for Notre Dame at the 24:33 mark. Jenny Heft netted Notre Dame's two remaining goals at the 25:33 and 44:14 mark.
Notre Dame goalkeeper LaKeysia Beene did not make a stop in the win. PC goalkeeper Shayna Ross made 14 saves in the loss.
Notre Dame's overall record improved to 18-0-1 and 11-0-0 in the BIG EAST, while Providence College dropped to 5-11-2 overall and 0-10-1 in the BIG EAST.
The Friars return to action on Wednesday, November 5 against Brown at Brown at 2:00 p.m.
