Providence Falls to Rutgers in Overtime
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College was defeated by Rutgers in overtime, 1-0, in BIG EAST women's soccer action Sunday, October 26 at Providence, R.I.
Rutgers' Gina Ressa scored the game-winning goal at the 90:30 mark.
Rutger goalkeeper Kate Macfarlane did not have a save in the win. Providence College goalkeeper Shayna Ross made 11 stops in the loss.
Rutgers' overall record improved to 7-12-0 and 4-6-0 in the BIG EAST, while PC dropped to 4-10-2 overall and 0-9-1 in the BIG EAST.
The Friars return to action on Friday, October 31 against Loyola University at Chicago, Ill. at 8:30 p.m.
