Providence College Women's Soccer Was Defeated By DePaul, 1-0

Chicago, Ill.- The Providence College women's soccer team was defeated, 1-0, by DePaul on Friday, October 16 in Chicago, Ill. The Friars fall to 7-6-3 overall and 2-4-3in the BIG EAST, while DePaul improves to 9-6-2 overall and 4-4-0 in conference. DePaul scored in the 68th minute when Morgan Celaya scored off a shot from 20 yards out. The goal was unassisted and was the eventual game winner. DePaul held a slight edge in shots, 6-4 and corners, 4-0. Jill Schott (Windham, N.H.) tallied three saves on the night, giving her a total of 43 on the season. The Friars are back in action on Sunday, October 18, when they take on No. 7 Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. at 3:00 pm.
