The Providence College women's soccer team was defeated by Connecticut, 4-0, on Wednesday, October 15 in Storrs, Conn.

After a strong defensive effort early in the game by the Friars, the Huskies scored their first goal in the 41st minute when Kristen Graczyk placed a header past senior goalkeeper Caroline Haines (Stillwater, Minn.). Connecticut put the game out of reach early in the second as Brittany Barakat scored just two minutes into the half. The Huskies tacked on two more goals as they outshot the Friars, 29-4. Haines finished the game with a season-high 11 saves.

With the loss, the Friars fall to 5-6-3 on the season and 0-2-2 in conference play, while Connecticut improves to 8-3-3 overall and 3-1-0 in the conference. Providence returns to action on Sunday, October 19 as they Seton Hall at 1:00 p.m.
