Providence, R.I. - The 22nd-ranked Boston College Eagles got second half goals from junior Muffin Rueckel and senior Mary Guarino on the way to a 2-0 shutout win over the Providence College Friars in women's BIG EAST soccer action on Friday afternoon at PC's Glay Field.

Rueckel got her first goal of the season to break a scoreless tie at the 68:01 mark off a shot by sophomore Morgan Page. PC goalkeeper Shayna Ross (Sr., Whitman, Mass.) made the initial save but couldn't control the ball as Rueckel punched it in off a scramble in front.

Boston College outshot the Friars 23-5 in the game with Ross making seven saves for PC. Junior Courtney Schaeffer was forced to make just one save for the Eagles.
